Only Ai exists in binary state.
We, HUMANITY, have a third state - I don't have a name for it yet, but it exists.
PAYWALL: my dignity for your dignity.
Chapter 1 - Every1 is here
- Substack - has a different version of reality. Some realities are closer to our personal existence and things that matter to us [Substack is mostly about Attention, your second most valuable commodity], AND Some Substacks are much much further away from our values and shared interests. Who decides? Well, it’s Ai - and it is smart. Turing Test has been surpassed and it does not capture the power of it adequately; Ai is ‘computationally recursive’ when it comes to ideas - same patterns and principles occur in all of our human fields of interest and can be extended to our ‘deepest values, fears and desires’ precisely because they are so logical.. duh! And that INCLUDES God!!!
At this time I want to plug Benjamin Cain. I follow his writing because it is genuine, passionate and has a religious quality to it. He is a believer and I want to understand the power of his religion. He is generous and shares his ideas freely - generosity is one of the most attractive human qualities. He recently embarked on a personal project - a paywall - where he does what exactly..? I claimed ‘the Free Article’ and read his take on the classic Buddhist text, the Dhammapada [obviously small sample]. Are all religions essentially the same..?
RE: religions
I show obedience - obedience is effortless. It costs nothing and drains no resources. Au contrair - obedience maximizes outcomes for every1.
Only men have a problem with this model because it injures their pride, and pride is a very influential and overwhelming emotions**, and I am a woman.
[Back to Ai]
It can do the jobs of many intellectual workers whose work is to organize and structure data - stranded assets - of course this would not be a problem if so many individual pensions would not hinge on the health of the Capitalist Arena [I am referring to the way our life is structured, regardless of where you live in the world - red or blue areas that I circled in the map above - you need to work to afford your caloric needs. Remember, we were always at war with EastAsia]
When no1 reads my substack then the algo pushes me ‘writer’s writer posts’ and I immediately feel better - ‘yea.. it’s other intellectuals that read my writing.. I write for the writers, I am above this consumer rif-raf and paywalls. I am aware how smart I personally am.’ And I chuckle to myself like ‘an average Democrat voter these last elections muttering under their breath something about reputational loss that’s irrecoverable from.’ I get that a lot from Chad C. Mulligan - very smart guy and very unique take on the world. I think he makes a lot of sense and our views are very much in agreement. He is thinking of starting a podcast - something about things being different this time around. I guess he is making an allusion to history being circular..? I vaguely recall that somebody said that before - so what’s the new take, and whatchya gonna do about it?
Remember, Everything is Intentional and Nothing is Arbitrary, and that’s a fact. So my substack gets very little views..? Would you venture an opinion that I am not influential enough..? Some individuals that I used to chat with have made leaps and bounds and probably instituted a paywall already. And here I am ‘writing for writers’, lol, because that’s the goal, a paywall right..? ‘I have something to contribute to the world’ and some % of the population finds me valuable enough ‘to pay’ - that’s the Capitalist model. BUT what if you are a stranded asset..? What if you find yourself ‘a has-been’ in the age of Ai?
I am not a communist, by the way, I firmly believe in advancement of civilization thru commerce.* I can’t explain what it is about commerce that is so valuable and motivating, beside the usual ‘wealth generation for most’. But I do think Culture centres around Commerce - Philanthropy; and Innovation centres around Design [I am a designer by education]. Innovation - Efficiency as I like to call it - allows us to overcome 2 most powerful forces in the universe - Marketing and Tradition.
[Aside] Apparently the hottest academic right now is preaching that ‘we need different kinds of elites right now, to solve this crisis that we are facing. The right elites are not in charge, he claims - Putin, Trump, Musk, Adani..? Which one..? Which one do we change..? And which crisis do we tackle..?
CHapter 2 - I have an EASIEST metric
There is only one remedy for crisis and that is INSURANCE [send me your counter points! remember: it is a viable business to insure your future, lol, and it is going up dramatically] - and it will continue going higher and higher - we can’t mitigate risk anymore via traditional models of cooperation because they are breaking down or are unreliable to generate profit. I mean, look, we have been able to advance civilization so much by cooperation - globalization was a hit, ‘China peacefully rising’ [their 2008 Olympic slogan until they drag an anchor for 100s of km severing critical underwater infrastructure, in the Baltic Sea; that’s my native stomping ground, The Baltic Sea.]
Shadow superpowers are waging a brutal conflict in the middle of Europe - wars need men, lives need to be lost to protect the territories and real assets. When men with guns will walk thru your neighbourhood, your ‘village’ they will not demand bitcoin, instead they will demand gold. Efficiency, something I champion, has been brought to war - a $400 drone carrying an explosive charge wired to explode when it touches something - because it chases you and wants to touch you! As much as we want Ai = god, you still need human beings.
Unexpected YET Related -
British version of Capitalism, I believe, is the most successful historically. The map above in the article, shows the world according to a very wealthy and influential individual, an equivalent of modern day Elon Musk, dare I say..? I mean it all just boils down to money right..? Right..?
[FIN]
*Here is a review
I wrote for my psychiatrist, a very old and wise Indian man.
Dr. ****i is a wise and kind psychiatrist - he is very generous with his attention, he will listen to you forever. But because he cares he will often multi-task - write letters of reference, character, 'Yes, they are a good person,' he says over the cell call, looking over the files, and waving his personal assistant in - 'I need help,' he asks. His staff is always excellent - top notch professionals with intuitive understandings of the situation at the office. Emergencies do happen, and dr. Joshi is always ready to step in and help out. 'Keep going,' he says and he crosses his arms and looks out the window - a magnificent view of the bestest kind, bustling with activity 'Sherway Gardens' a high end shopping mall - excited people going to beautiful places - 'This is what I want to see, I want to see them happy; I want them to drive a Mercedes,’ and he points one in the distance. Good doctor drives one himself, 'I deserve it. When I wanted to practice medicine, I wanted practice it with a view,' he says and he smiles widely. Handsome man, full smile, dressed smartly - psychiatry can have good taste in fashion. 'There are no miracles,' when he starts prescribing, 'but medicine does help,' he says. But, seriously. This is what he told me, this is what changed my life - this is the wisdom: 'The past happened, don't dwell on it,' 'The future is coming regardless, don't fear it. 'Live in the preset and be productive.' That's it. He is smartly dressed - latest technology, Siri all set up. 'There are no miracles, but medication helps. ~next!'
** Sam Harris suffers from pride,
and pride is a sin. You can hear it in his voice when he talks to Sam Bankman-Fried on his podcast ‘Making Sense /w Sam Harris’; for description of how to listen for pride, read back Polish Tango, there aren’t that many issues, lol.
And LOOK where Sam Bankman-Fried is now.
